So this year is the year I get back to being healthy! Okay, I was never overly healthy, I never ate amazingly but I was fit-ish!
It’s hard for me to write but in the last 3 years I’ve put on 35 kilos.
It wasn’t that bad to write, I actually feel some relief.
I’m not going to make excuses or tell you why I think it’s happened, instead I’m going to take the blame and tell you why it happened.
I stopped exercising all together, I lived on an island where you walked everywhere, no cars, I went from walking everywhere to nothing, I did the whole, go the gym for a few months get really into it then gave up. Now I left Hamilton island in February 2015 by the end of that year had put on about 10 kilos, then 2016 November I had put on another 10.
But the most amazing thing happened , I was pregnant with my first baby (poppy). Now after I gave birth I weighed less than when I got pregnant (I attribute this to horrendous morning sickness).
Then this is where it went down hill, because of a heart issue that came about during pregnancy, I was told I wasnt allowed to exercise until my heart resolved, which it didn’t, still hasn’t.
Now I was finally told I could exercise, but after a few months my motivation went out the window, I’m bad like that, I’m one of those people who needs to be pulled out of bed and yelled at to exercise.
I HATE EXERCISE.
I love the idea of it, I love the idea of being fit, but I need someone to go to the gym with me, and that’s no going to happen.
Now come 2017 I found out I was pregnant with bubs number 2, 2 under 2 your thinking I got pregnant by accident, nope we are crazy people and we planned it all. Realistically I was so unhealthy coming into my pregnancy that it was obvious i was going to be unhealthy by the end of it, which is were we are right now.
6 weeks postpartum and I’m ready to take responsibility and get fit and healthy. I hate my body at the moment and really desperately want to love it, so this is the beginning of that.
Let me tell you some things before I let you in on my goals. I don’t care about being a size 6, I just want to feel good, I don’t care about what the scales read once I’m in my healthy bmi range. Lastly I don’t eant this to take over my life.
- By March I will of lost at least 7 kilos
- I will hopefully feel better and not so tired.
- I will not drink soft drink (except mineral water)
- I will be exercising daily
- I will drink at least 3 liters of water a day
- I will love my body, stretch marks, saggy boobs and all
