The Pregnancy Pillow

Hey there,

This is just a quick rundown on The pregnancy pillow!

Is it worth it? Does it actually help? In my opinion, kind of….

So my thoughts are they are great to an extent, I have tried an actual pregnancy pillow and just a body pillow. I personally had a good sleep in the day time with my pregnancy pillow but at night it was just too much to have in the bed, I feel like I either needed to choose my pillow or brad (my partner). Obviously I chose brad mainly because I really enjoy cuddling and I’m a touchy feely person, so having cuddles whilst pregnant was something I really enjoyed, I found my body pillow in between my legs and under my belly more than enough.

On the other hand if you like your personal space, especially in your sleep, than I would definitely recommend a pregnancy pillow. They really are super comfy during pregnancy, just be warned they are huge.

2019 The Year of Health Happiness and Self Love

So this year is the year I get back to being healthy! Okay, I was never overly healthy, I never ate amazingly but I was fit-ish!

It’s hard for me to write but in the last 3 years I’ve put on 35 kilos.

It wasn’t that bad to write, I actually feel some relief.

I’m not going to make excuses or tell you why I think it’s happened, instead I’m going to take the blame and tell you why it happened.

I stopped exercising all together, I lived on an island where you walked everywhere, no cars, I went from walking everywhere to nothing, I did the whole, go the gym for a few months get really into it then gave up. Now I left Hamilton island in February 2015 by the end of that year had put on about 10 kilos, then 2016 November I had put on another 10.

But the most amazing thing happened , I was pregnant with my first baby (poppy). Now after I gave birth I weighed less than when I got pregnant (I attribute this to horrendous morning sickness).

Then this is where it went down hill, because of a heart issue that came about during pregnancy, I was told I wasnt allowed to exercise until my heart resolved, which it didn’t, still hasn’t.

Now I was finally told I could exercise, but after a few months my motivation went out the window, I’m bad like that, I’m one of those people who needs to be pulled out of bed and yelled at to exercise.

I HATE EXERCISE.

I love the idea of it, I love the idea of being fit, but I need someone to go to the gym with me, and that’s no going to happen.

Now come 2017 I found out I was pregnant with bubs number 2, 2 under 2 your thinking I got pregnant by accident, nope we are crazy people and we planned it all. Realistically I was so unhealthy coming into my pregnancy that it was obvious i was going to be unhealthy by the end of it, which is were we are right now.

6 weeks postpartum and I’m ready to take responsibility and get fit and healthy. I hate my body at the moment and really desperately want to love it, so this is the beginning of that.

Let me tell you some things before I let you in on my goals. I don’t care about being a size 6, I just want to feel good, I don’t care about what the scales read once I’m in my healthy bmi range. Lastly I don’t eant this to take over my life.

  • By March I will of lost at least 7 kilos
  • I will hopefully feel better and not so tired.
  • I will not drink soft drink (except mineral water)
  • I will be exercising daily
  • I will drink at least 3 liters of water a day
  • I will love my body, stretch marks, saggy boobs and all

Easy But Not Boring Meal

How great is it when you find a fool proof meal, that the little ones will eat and that you know is easy.

Well I’m going to start telling you some of mine so that when your feeling lazy or just running late you can have these in your back pocket.

This isn’t only a easy recepie bir it’s fun too and will keep the little ones entertained whilst you cook.

2 ingredient pizza dough:

  • 11/4 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt.

That’s it. It makes perfect pizza dough and is sooo filling. You may need to add more flour or more yogurt but I usually just add until I have the perfect consistency (or at least one I’m happy with).

Now I’m not the discoverer of this recepie but thought it was a great one to share.

One of my favourite toppings is some good olive oil, cheese and garlic. It is the best garlic bread.

What’s your favourite easy recepie?
